Fishguard Folk Festival — a musical coming-together of incredible acts from across the UK and Ireland.
This gallery celebrates the timeless, communal spirit of folk: musicians sharing songs in bustling rooms, impromptu sessions spilling onto cobbled streets, and voices woven through the worn wood and low ceilings of ancient pubs. The traditional aesthetics — scuffed bars, gaslit corners, hand-painted signs and weathered floorboards — create a backdrop that feels rooted and eternal.
Rendered in black and white, these moments shed modern distractions and reveal shape, texture and emotion: the curve of a fiddle, a singer’s closed eyes, the congregation of hands mid-clap. Monochrome distills the festival to its essence, turning scenes of conviviality into quiet, powerful portraits of tradition and togetherness.
