My name is Gareth, I have enjoyed being a professional Wedding, Events and Commercial Photographer for over 20 years.

Below is a slide show from a very recent wedding at Cardeeth Farm, Accommodation, Weddings & Events in Pembrokeshire. I selected a few from the wedding day and displayed them on the evening of the wedding day. Most of the images were edited in Black & White. Bare in mind my clients receive all final images in colour too.

Why I love photographing weddings

Weddings are very fast paced, with lots of details and special moments to capture. Every wedding is entirely different with new stories to tell.

I am very much a people person, I love the energy and excitement of a wedding day! I thrive on meeting new people and helping them enjoy their day. I’m not just a photographer, on the day I’m very keen to lend a hand in any way possible!

As a documentary-style wedding photographer, its my goal to capture each important and fun element for you, without interrupting your day! My superpower as a wedding photographer is being able to find beauty and interest in every scene!

While it’s important to document your day in detail, I feel the best way to capture a wedding is at its most natural, being an observer more so than a conductor! However, when required, we do stage the group and couple shots while ensuring they’re still fun and creative images.

My Style

My relaxed style of ‘documentary wedding photography’ offers the perfect balance of candid storytelling, and the invaluable group pictures captured for all family members to cherish.

I do love black and white photography, I will often photograph the entire day in black & white. I do provide my clients with all of their images in both colour and black and white.

As far as photographic style, I am very much a natural light shooter (no Flash). Because of this, you and most of your guests will barely notice I am taking your picture. The other reason is that I love the tones and depth you get from using natural light to document a scene. A flash is always with me for when needed (ie - dance floor pics).

Must have shots

Every wedding is different, so it is important to know who will be attending your wedding.

For this reason, I provide a list of possible group shots for you to amend, add to, and return before the wedding day* We can then do our best to capture your most important shots*. I do everything possible to tick off every shot from the list, this is highly influenced by the weather and times set by the venue.

What is Included

A full-day wedding package is offered as standard, beginning with the getting-ready shots. I do however offer a half-day cover option too. this is more suited to smaller weddings or registry office weddings. Quotation available on request

I arrive first thing with the bride’s party to capture the fun and excitement as they get ready. When possible, I head to the groom’s party, before returning to photograph the bride before she leaves for the service.

Unless requested, I will be with you all day until after the first dance.

A 2-hour ‘White Wall Studio’ is now included! I am very proud of this, it is truly unique to my me, I am the only one in the country who offers this service.

‘White Wall’ is designed specifically for my wedding and events photography clients. This is a unique service as I am the only one in the UK offering it. Slideshow of images

When possible, I will arrange for a slideshow of some of your images for you and your guests to see. This is usually presented in the evening while you enjoy your wedding dinner.

These images are then available for you on the night, enabling you to share some professional wedding images on your social media straight away. See the example at the top of the page.

Pricing

My wedding photography service includes the following as standard unless otherwise requested:

Pre-wedding meeting to discuss your day in detail
Pre-wedding photography session inc ‘Guest signing-board’
Full-day cover, from getting ready to the first dance (unless otherwise agreed)
Minimum of 400 high resolution ‘print ready’ (4000px long edge) images supplied via transfer**
All images are provided in both colour & black & white
Unlimited images are taken on the day
Fully insured with personal & professional liability and indemnity insurance
Slide show of your images in the evening (depending on the duration of cover)
A 2-hour ‘White Wall Studio’
Maximum 30-day turnaround for image delivery.
Proofs are available the same or the next day for sharing online
Basic exposure, colour correction, image sharpening, and cropping are included. Any advanced and specific image manipulation, such as skin retouching or removing distractions is available on request at an additional charge, see the wedding contract for more details
